I convey my hearty congratulations to the Lagos Central Senator-elect, *Senator Oluremi Tinubu (OON)* on her victory at the National Assembly Election Petitions tribunal sitting at Ikeja, Lagos State on Monday, September 9th, 2019.
The verdict affirmed *Senator Oluremi Tinubu's (OON)* victory as the winner of the *Lagos Central Senatorial District election* held on the 23rd of February 2019.
The tribunal declared that the petitions filed by the people democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, *Mr. Sunbo Onitiri*, for the senatorial election lacked merit and was consequently dismissed.
It is indeed a victory for all lovers of true democracy and indeed the good people of Lagos Central Senatorial district. This is a litmus test for our nascent democracy.
Nigerians are showing we are coming of age and the stage is gradually looking brighter for future elections.
I also want to appreciate the INEC officials, the security agencies and all those that ensured peace and orderliness towards the success of the historic election.
Once again, Congratulations *Senator Oluremi Tinubu (OON)* and to the good people of Lagos Central Senatorial district.
